Happy New Year!!We had a some what New Year's Party to celebrate our coming back to preschool, after our Christmas break. We decorated a party hat with colorful markers, seeds, sequence, and tinsel. We even ate "New Year" snacks of, cheese and crackers, chex party mix, and holiday punch.
Today we reviewed numbers 1-5 and learned out to match Numbers with dots. I think the children are ready for Dot to Dots!
The children liked making a 5 pointed star wand, that they tried coloring the right amount of dots next to each number.
We ended our day with a fun and entertaining book called, "Bad Dog Marley" by, John Grogan. This story is taken from the movie, "Marley and Me". Some the children had already seen the movie and were very excited to know already know who Marley was.
Over all this was a fun day, with crafts, counting dots, and a game called 5 balls in a basket.
