Fire Safety Red

It is so important to know what to do in case of a fire. We read the book "Stop Drop and Roll", and hopefully know how to keep safe, with smoke detectors in the house, crawling low if there is smoke, to wrap up in a blanket if there is fire, GET OUT and to NOT hide and to not be afraid of a fireman. We took a look at a fire truck and all the tools that are used to help put out fires. We also took a look at the outfit and gear that a fireman wears to help protect him from fires.
For a craft we painted an egg carton red, glued a ladder and wheels onto it. After gluing a picture of ourselves in the window, it resembled a firetruck with us driving!
We are practising our Halloween songs now. They are a lot of fun, especially the song, "Halloween" because it screams "BOO!" at the end, we all laugh after we are done singing.
